MixPipe is a local workspace for creating images and video with your own AI provider accounts. For help or a content report, contact support@monomixai.com. Never send an API key or password.

Getting started

Do I need a MixPipe account or subscription? No. The current app has no MixPipe registration, subscription, credit balance or paid BYOK unlock. Providers charge your own account for their API services. A subscription to a provider's consumer website does not necessarily include API access.

Where do I add an API key? Open Settings → Providers, choose a supported provider and enter its required credentials. The assistant and image-to-prompt use OpenRouter; configure it under Settings → AI Assistant. Keys are stored in this device's Keychain and used to authenticate requests to the provider. They are not synced to another device through a MixPipe account.

How do I make a photo or video on iPhone? Tap +, choose photo or video, add or skip a reference, write a prompt, choose a provider and compatible model, and review the request. Swipe up for the next step and down to go back. Generation starts only after explicit confirmation. Quick generations are saved in the library; continue a result in a project to build a longer pipeline.

How does iPad work? iPad provides a larger editing workspace. Open a project or template, add your inputs, select a model and review the cost before generating.

Models, spending and failed requests

Why do different references show different models? Models support different tasks, numbers of images, video lengths and input types. MixPipe filters the selection to supported request formats. Some providers expose a live catalogue; others use a clearly labelled built-in list. A model listing does not confirm your account's balance or access.

Is the displayed spending my provider balance? No. MixPipe shows approximate costs based on known model pricing and saved requests. Unknown prices are identified. Provider billing, taxes, currency, account-specific prices and other applications' usage can differ. Check your provider's dashboard for the authoritative bill.

Does a failed or cancelled request cost money? It can. The provider may already have accepted or performed the work. Cancellation and refunds depend on that provider. Review the status before retrying; retrying may create a new paid request.

Can I close the app while generation runs? The provider may continue an accepted job. MixPipe saves its handle and resumes checking when reopened. iOS may allow limited background work, but continuous polling after force quit is not guaranteed. Keep credentials valid and open the app again to retrieve the result.

Privacy and permission

What leaves my device? Generation sends its prompt, model parameters and selected references to the chosen provider. The assistant sends your message, relevant project summary and assistant instructions through OpenRouter to the selected model provider. Image analysis also sends the image you choose. You can edit its proposed prompt before using it. Local editing and preview do not need an AI request.

How do I withdraw AI sharing permission? Open Settings → About & Support → Accepted agreements → Withdraw AI sharing permission. The accepted Terms and local data remain. New AI actions require permission again; already accepted requests and data already received by a provider are not cancelled or deleted by withdrawal.

Why am I asked for permission again after updating? An older consent record may not cover the current disclosure, including OpenRouter and project context. The app asks you to review the updated explanation before sending new AI requests. It does not silently upgrade the old permission.

Does deleting a local file delete provider copies? No. Ask the relevant provider about its retention and deletion process. Deleting one library item also does not guarantee removal of every local reference or cached response. Export important work before deleting it.

What is sent to support? Only what you choose to send. Report a problem previews technical details and includes the prompt only if you opt in. Export diagnostics shares app/environment information through the system share sheet. Keys and file paths are redacted; review the report. A mail app adds your sender address.

Media, templates and troubleshooting

Where are results saved? In the local library. Open a result to preview it and use the system share sheet to export it. Export destinations depend on installed apps and iOS. Settings → Storage shows media usage and opens Library management; it does not promise to erase data held by external providers.

Can I share templates with everyone? The current catalogue contains MixPipe templates and your own local templates. A public user-template feed and cloud sync are not part of this version.

Does the app work offline? Local projects, available media and local editing/export remain usable. Remote generation, image analysis, assistant requests and catalogue updates need a network connection. Terms, Privacy and Support are included in the app and open without internet.

Why can't I open a legal page? Open Settings → About & Support for the full documents stored in the app. Their Export action saves a copy. An external provider link may need internet. If a local document is missing, update the app or contact support; the app will not ask you to accept missing documents.

What content can I create? You must have the necessary rights and consent for inputs and identifiable people. Follow the Content Rules and the selected provider's rules. Do not generate illegal, exploitative or non-consensual content. Report a concerning result using Report a problem.

Are results always marked as AI-generated? MixPipe attempts to attach provenance metadata to supported generated files. It cannot guarantee every format or later export preserves it. Providers may add their own marks. Review the result and make required disclosures when publishing.
